#037 Winter Wonderland Up The Dam Road

This picture is taken from up the road, and there is a dam at the end. Hence, up the dam road. I have many wonderful memories there. A great place to go fishing, or take your dog for a walk. A place to enjoy the beauty of nature.
We used to go snowmobiling here, many years ago. There was a cottage that had a wood stove in it where we could hang our cold and wet socks and gloves and hats. And stand around drinking a beer while our limbs thawed out. Awesome memories!

#035 Two Horses Galloping Snow – Winter Solstice

The winter solstice occurs exactly when the axial tilt of a planet’s polar hemisphere is farthest away from the star that it orbits. Earth’s maximum axial tilt to our star, the Sun, during a solstice is 23° 26′. More evidently from high latitudes, a hemisphere’s winter solstice occurs on the shortest day and longest night of the year, when the sun’s daily maximum elevation in the sky is the lowest. Since the winter solstice lasts only a moment in time, other terms are often used for the day on which it occurs, such as midwinter, the longest night or the first day of winter.

#033 Love Does Not Mean You Understand Each Other
The most awesome feeling in the world is love. The love we share with our life partner. And, when we can keep that love alive till the end of our life it is indeed an achievement.
Love is not the same as understanding…. as the quote from Dorothy Dix states,
“The reason that husbands and wives do not understand each other is because they belong to different sexes”
Oh how true

#032 Arguing? Address The Now AND NOT The Past
In disagreements with loved ones, deal with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.
How often have we heard this? How hard is it to do? Really hard, right! How often do we argue, and all the previous hurts come to the forefront, and, come right back out again.
I see, well hear, so many arguments between couples that make me cringe. And yet, other couples also argue, and come out on top (and they don’t make me cringe).
It’s the anger. When a person is dealing with anger, it devastates relationships. Awesome is the person that can control and mange their anger!
