Venus And Uranus In The Night Sky

venus 300x239 Venus And Uranus In The Night Sky

If you have a chance tonight look at the sky….Venus is out (by the moon). It’s beautiful. Will be visible til Mid-May.and if you look back in a southern direction you can see Uranus.

From what I understand Uranus is exceptionally large looking this time of year.

#042 Children And Dragons

I just heard an awesome saying:

Fairy tales do not teach children that dragons exist, they teach children that dragons can be killed

Let’s always be looking out for those “hidden” dragons in a child’s life, and help kill them.

Some children are being bullied unmercifully, and yet no one knows about it.

Some children are being abused, locked up, mistreated or neglected, and yet, for some reason, no one in their life seems to notice or even worse, pay attention to it.

If you think that a child needs help, you can call the police, crime stoppers, or child help organizations anonymously, you don’t have to identify yourself.  Just make sure you do help to slay that child’s dragon!

#041 Two Awesome Deepest And Biggest Pools In World

wiki nemo33pool #041 Two Awesome Deepest And Biggest Pools In World

OK, so you like swimming.  You really like swimming.  Well here are two pools you may want to go see some day.  These are awesome!  Just looking at the pictures scare me.  I don’t like swimming (I prefer wading in the water). I don’t like heights or depth, but, to some, this is fantastic.

courtesy wikipedia, Nemo 33 is the deepest indoor swimming pool in the world. The portal is located in Brussels, Belgium. Its maximum depth is 34.5 metres (113 ft). It contains 2.5 million liters of non-chlorinated, highly filtered spring water maintained at 30 °C (86 °F) and holds several simulated underwater caves at the 10 metres (33 ft) depth level.

There are numerous underwater windows that allow outside visitors to look into the pools at various depths.

#040 The Beauty Of Northern Lights Over Norway

northernlights #040 The Beauty Of Northern Lights Over Norway

Click on the picture to see this awesome video

Multicolored curtains of light fill the skies over northern Norway in a new time-lapse video made from aurora images taken this month.

The first time I saw the Northern Lights (very unusual where I live, I have only seen them here once in my life) I thought it was the end of the world.  I had never see the lights dance all over the sky before.  I think seeing the lights as in this video would be so beautiful it may even be scary!

#039 Waiting For The Birds To Sing

Very soon, this time in the morning, the birds will be singing us their “early morning singing song”, one of my favourite reasons for waking up early in the spring and summer, which is now right around the corner. Another reason is, a good cup of coffee, off course.
